Pure Parima Bed sheet Review
Egyptian cotton is widely regarded as the “best” cotton in the world and for good reason. Known for its luxurious softness as well as it’s durability, Egyptian cotton is synonymous with luxury and comfort. In fact, it is such a sought after textile that many companies claim their products are made from 100% Egyptian Cotton when in truth they are not.
This is where Pure Parima comes in. Relatively new on the bedding scene, Pure Parima has set out to “bring back real luxury bedding based on our [their] transparency and your valued trust”. Their product line includes sheets and duvet covers all made from 100% hand-picked Egyptian cotton. So, when we had the opportunity to test out a set of bedsheets from their Yalda collection, we knew we were in for a real treat. So, is Pure Parima worth the cost? Find out in our in-depth review!

What to expect with Pure Parima
Family owned and operated, Pure Parima products are certified by the Cotton Egypt Association (CEA), a rigorous certification performed yearly to ensure that the cotton is DNA tested for purity and is only sourced from the Nile River Valley. Featuring a 400 thread count their bed sheets strike a balance between ultra-soft breathability and long-lasting durability.
The Pure Parima experience
From the moment you receive your new bed sheets, you’ll know you’re in for a luxurious treat. They arrive in a gorgeous, elegant white box with the Pure Parima logo and a handwritten note for an added touch of sophistication. This is a beautiful touch that makes a perfect gift for someone special, or just a decadent treat for yourself, either way Pure Parima is sure to please.
The sheets are available in two different designs: the Yalda collection and Ariane collection. All bed sheet sets come with 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet and either 1 or 2 pillowcases depending on the size ordered. It is worth noting that while 10-12″ is a standard mattress height the fitted sheet is 18″ in depth making them a great option for mattresses with taller profiles.
The Yalda collection, which we tested, features a beautiful double-hem stitch design and comes available in 7 different color options: white, ivory, tan, grey, soft peach, charcoal and icy blue.
The Feel of the sheets
Unlike some bedding that requires being laundered before first use, your Pure Parima sheets can immediately be put to use, of course, you may still choose to launder first (we opted for the former). They do have a tendency to wrinkle a bit so you’ll likely want to grab these as soon as the dryer finishes to minimize wrinkling. That being said, the sheets will get softer with each wash, though we have to admit, we thought they were already sinfully soft.
Made from a 400 thread count, sateen weave, these sheets have a lustrous shine and are silky smooth. The pillowcases come with an envelope enclosure to help keep your pillow in place, which is a nice touch. I’m a particularly active combo sleeper and I can’t tell you how many times a pillowcase has gone missing in my sleep because they didn’t have a similar feature.
Do Pure Parima bedsheets sleep cool?
The bed sheets have a nice cool to the touch feel but I did find myself warming up a bit throughout the night. We have to admit they weren’t the coolest sheets we’ve tested, rather more warm and cozy! This is especially nice if you live in colder climates or tend to always be cold.
What makes Egyptian Cotton so special?
Grown in the Nile River Valley, Egyptian Cotton makes up only 1% of the world’s cotton supply. The incredibly vitamin-rich soil of the Nile River Valley ensures that Egyptian Cotton is longer and stronger, meaning a soft, yet durable material that pills and frays less than other kinds of cotton, such as American Cotton.
In addition, Egyptian Cotton is hand-picked rather than machine harvested, this places little to no stress on the cotton fibers further ensuring the decadent comfort it is known for. Another benefit? Egyptian Cotton actually softens over time.
Thread Counts are overrated
If you are familiar with our review of Purple’s bed sheets you may already be familiar with the idea that thread count is overrated. Thread count refers to the total number of horizontal and vertical threads in one square inch of bedding. Pure Parima states that having more than 600 threads per square inch is physically impossible.
This isn’t the first time we’ve been introduced to the idea that thread count is overrated but, how can this be? Doesn’t having a higher thread count means a better, softer, more luxurious product? Not necessarily! In fact, a higher thread count means stiffer, thicker sheets with decreased breathability and comfort.
Pure Parima products come with a 100 night risk-free trial. Visit www.pureparima.com for full refund policy information.
Complimentary shipping is available to the 48 contiguous states but Pure Parima does offer shipping options for the noncontiguous states, domestic territories and Canada!
100% hand-picked Egyptian cotton comes at a premium and may not be the right choice if you are shopping on a strict budget. That being said, we felt the quality and presentation of the Pure Parima bed sheets every bit worth the price tag. Sheet sets range in price from $150.00-$270.00.
