It would be nice if the controls were moved from their current position on the bottom to a more accessible location, such as the top or side of the speaker. Picking up the device, no matter how easy, causes more fingerprints on the already easily markable chrome.
After inspecting the sound files, I realized you could put your own audio files on the cards; however, this may lessen your experience since they are designed with a specific task in mind. A lot of thought, care, and planning seems to have gone into creating a product that works well but is built in the spirit of mindfulness.
With the inclusion of a Micro SD card slot, it seems possible that future versions will include even more tones or sound files. This could expand the product’s functionality and open up new possibilities for use.

Packaging and Design layout
It comes packaged in an unapologetically simple, yet elegant box design. Within, sits two beautifully designed discs, cushioned with foam molding. The N.O.W Tone Therapy System is well made, with a satisfying weight to each disc—and the reflective chrome surfaces of both speakers adds an elegant touch. Fingerprints and oil from your skin do tend to gravitate toward this material quite easily, so they have included a nice little polishing cloth to help alleviate this.
The top of the speaker sports a mesh design stamped with the Solu logo; underneath is a rubber platform to prevent shifting, so as to allow the vibrations to do their work. The on/off button and volume controls are located on the bottom of the speaker as well. Along the back of each device are cutouts for the modern USB-C charging port, as well as a slot for the memory card; this is where the sound files for the tone therapy sit.
The device looks particularly neat and clean, with a design that harkens to Apple’s sleek aesthetic.

Pressing the On button allows the device to automatically select from an assortment of random tones that have been specially designed and played by Michael Joly, the founder of Solu. These tones play for around 3 minutes, which is a nice amount of time to just breathe and take a moment. Perhaps it would be nice to have options to increase that time depending on the session but most people should find this option long enough.
The tones are designed to operate at a very specific tuning and frequency for optimal relaxation. You can experience this immediately, as the space around you seems to change when the devices are turned on. Designed to work in tandem, the meditation speakers emit vibrations that further enhance your meditative experience.
When on, each speaker randomly selects tones that complement the other speaker. Use them in the morning and before bed to create a calming and therapeutic environment that encourages one to focus and quiet the mind.
